The Student Commons is the area that students will use to access their online courses. Students login with their SLN username and password. There are several important areas for students to access on the Commons. They will find links to their course(s), the SLN Student Orientation, Announcements, Student Lounge, My SLN Account and SLN HelpDesk.
The Announcements area contains messages from SLN to students regarding procedures or processes that they may need to be aware of. Students are also forewarned of any upcoming situations regarding the servers or SLN HelpDesk availability. The Student Lounge is an area where all students within SLN (from all campuses and courses) can get together to have conversations outside of their courses. Faculty do not have access to this area. My SLN Account is where students can update their contact information, password and email address. Within this area, they are also able to see the transaction log of their account. There is also a Newsflash area were students will be informed by the SLN HelpDesk of any current situations that they need to be aware of.
