I have been teaching writing to adults since 2002 but have been an English educator, in one form or another, since I was a grammar and writing tutor in my freshman year of college. As far as credentials go, I received a BA in Anthropology and an MA in English Education both from SUNY Albany. The rest of my professional history is varied and includes museum and lab work, and many years in the Leasing and Asset Management industry.
My personal interests are a reflection of my love of lifelong learning. I am fascinated by etymology, the study of the origins of words (check out my favorite website); art, making it and appreciating it and; traveling to places I have never been.
I like to see life from the perspective of others and every student I have taught has in turn taught me something new about the world. I look forward to teaching my first online course and getting to know students from all across New York State and possibly globe!
