Subject: Create & Respond to Bulletin Board Documents
The Bulletin Board area can be used by both instructor and students to post general information, informal discussions, and longer announcements. These might include things like:
- An announcement of an upcoming television or radio broadcast related to a course topic
- Information telling the students you will be off line for 4 days due to a family emergency
- A stimulating question about a relevant current event
- A detailed explanation of an item referred to in a newsflash
- A social discussion among students about a nonacademic topic
- An Archive of old newsflash announcements
In this public area, both instructor and students can post new items and respond to existing items. Some instructors tell students the bulletin board is reserved for students, others use it for announcements, and others leave it open for multiple uses. The choice for how you want this area to be used is yours.
