Subject: RE: ID read vs. unread responses
The best tool for this is probably the Professor Navigator "Views." There are several views that allow you to display student submissions by date, or module and date so that if you know you last logged on 3 days ago and read everything up to that point, you can go to this view and simply read everything submitted since that date.

If you use the same computer for access all the time, you can also set your browser to change the collor of any link you have already clicked on. Just keep in mind that this only identifies if you clicked on the link and does not signify you actually the read linked document. To do this, you need to do the following (for Internet Explorer browser):
1. Click the Tools menu > Internet Options
2. General tab > go down to the History section
3. where is says "Days to keep pages in history" - set that number to more than the number of days for the term (e.g. 100).
4. Then click on the "Colors" button just below this.
5. On the colors options, set your preferences for Visited and Unvisited link colors so you can easily distinguish which links you have already gone to.
6. Click the Ok and Save buttons to save your changes.

But either way, just remember that you really need to get into the habit of reading the student submissions in an organized manner so that you can maximize your time spent managing the course and can easily recognize what submissions you have or haven't read.
