Subject: Navigating a Discussion

The course template provides several tools to assist you in navigating through discussion responses. You should try out different methods until you find which ones work best for you:

• Navigation Bar at the top or bottom of each page. Within the navigation bar, you can use the buttons: , , or to move from document to document in the module menu.

• To read through every document in a menu section, simply click the button at the top or bottom of each page. This will take you systematically through every thread. However, you won't know which documents were indented under which threads.

• Alternatively you can work through the discussion one Expand Twistie at a time. Start by using the button to collapse all the documents within that so that you see just the Section headings. You will see an Expand Twistie next to each Section heading in the module.

• You can also use the Course Views within the Professor Navigator to view all student submissions organized by date, student name and or module and section.
