Subject: Technology
Have you considered whether you could send and receive sound files from your students? In other words, part of the course could be a link to an mp3 of you speaking that they need to respond to? And they could use any of a number of available programs to record their voice speaking back to you?

This might help (at least in some small way) with your concerns about teaching a language on line.

(Of course, if the course already includes such capabilities, feel free to ignore this suggestion as coming from someone ignorant of the course.)
