Subject: Ask a Question Area

There is a Question Area located at the bottom of each learning module. Any time a student uses the Ask a Question icon located in the lower right hand corner of any module document, the question appears in the Question Area. A helpful feature is that the question will include a link back to the document the student was asking about. Since students often forget to provide detailed information about where they are having troubles, this link eliminates the need for that.

Both you and other students can also post responses to questions that appear in this public area. Answering questions publicly in this area can eliminate the need for you to respond to the same question multiple times. Encourage students to use this area for general questions that are not of a private nature (a question about an assignment, clarification of a mini-lecture item, etc). Reserve the private folder for personal questions related to grades, evaluation, the student's performance, etc.

If you don't see a Question Area in a module, it's because no student has asked a question for that module. The Question Area will be created automatically when the first student asks a question.
