Subject: Course Map and the Areas of Your Course
The Course Map is the main page of your course. From the course map you can navigate to every section of your course, other resources on the SUNY Learning Network site and on Empire State College's web site. You should take some time to study the image below to familiarize yourself with the Course Map.
In the areas below, you can see the links that are available on the Course Map. Click on each one for more details about that section or go to the course map image below and try to locate the links on the actual course map. They are "clickable" so you can review the details if you wish. (On the Graphic below, your mouse/arrow will turn into a hand when you mouse over one of the links).
From the blue-shaded stripe just below the SLN icon at the very top of the page, click on Student Commons, Student Orientation, SUNY Connect (not used by Empire State College) and SLN Home.
On the top of the screenshot, but just below the "Student Commons" link, click on Text Only, Edit Course Map Adjuster, Open Professor Navigator and Faculty Center (not shown in image below) - the middle two are the Professor tools you will primarily use to manage your course.
Under the Class Community area (dark shaded stripe under the Newsflash), click on Meet Your Classmates, Bulletin Board, Shared References, Your Evaluations, and Private Folder.
In the main body of the course (light blue-shaded area), click on the Course Information, Learning Modules areas, and the Submissions from last 14 days link.
Finally on the left hand side, click on the Empire State College logo for the Center for Distance Learning home page, ESC Library, SLN HelpDesk and the Logout links.
