Subject: Twisties

One feature of the course template that you should be familiar with to get around in your course is the "twisties". Your course has Module Menu pages which contain links to the documents in a module. The Module Menu can become quite long if your course has an extensive discussion or a lot of written submissions in a module. To make a large module menu manageable, the system can "collapse" and "expand" sections.

A Twistie is a blue triangle which indicates whether a menu area is expanded or collapsed. A twistie pointed down Collapse Twistie indicates that the area is already expanded (i.e., you can see all the "child" documents within that area. A twistie pointed to the right Expand Twistie indicates that the area is collapsed. To Expand or Collapse a menu section, click on the twistie. Look at the two examples below and see if you can determine which areas are expanded and which are collapsed.
