Subject: What You Will Learn in this Module
In this module you will learn about all the areas of the Course Map, as well as the content areas of your course. It will give you a good overview and understanding of the geography of your course so you can move around easily in your course and manage your students' work.
You will learn how to:
- Access your course from the SLN Faculty Center
- Use links on the Course Map to navigate to all the areas of your course
- Navigate to parts of your course using the Navigation Bars and other navigation aids
- Use the twisties (blue triangles) on your course menus
- Use the professor-only tools (Edit Course Map and Professor Navigator) linked from the Course Map
- Secure your work by using the Logout link
You will also become familiar with some basic terminology related to the parts of your course.
In the Written Assignment Area of this module, you will see a self-test that you can use to check your understanding of the ideas in this module. Read each of the following documents, then take the Self-test.
