Subject: Create menu options
The Create Menu, with the exception of the Evaluation section, is primarily designed for use by course developers and not faculty teaching an already developed course. Non-developers: you must contact your Area Coordinator before adding to or changing the educational content of an already developed course.
For details on using any of the developer-based options available here, see the SLN Professor Navigator Instructions (SLN login required).
The Create menu is primarily used for:
1. Stand-Alone Evaluation: use this link to create an evaluation that is not associated with a specific assignment. For details on this tool, view the Stand-Alone Evaluations document.
2. Private Notebook entries: use this option to keep notes to yourself about updates or changes you would like to make to the course for the next semester, or to store text or a document (such as a template for an evaluation or discussion response) that you may use several times over the course of the term. Students cannot see the documents in your private notebook. The Private Notebook link takes you to a list of Notes for Revision documents where you can read and change any existing documents.
