Hello, Czesc! (Polish) and Happy New Year 2005! I am a new instructor here. I am typing to you from Warsaw, Poland, where I have been living and studying (working on Ph.D., Philosophy - Jagiellonian University) for the past 3 years now. My higher education consists of an MA in Philosophy from West Chester University, and an MA in Sociology from Lancaster University, UK. I consider my home Pennsylvania (go Eagles!).
There are a few online projects I am currently involved with, notably, West Chester Freecycle (www.westchesterfreecycle.org) -- this is a growing, international movement (main site www.freecycle.org). I organized the Warsaw Freecycle Network (www.freecyclewarsaw.org) -- taking a bit longer to promote and catch on though. Additionally, I am trying to spark a movement connected with quality of living issues called Slow Now! (www.slownow.org). I love reading and pondering haiku poetry (while writing it is agonizing still) and walking in the many city parks here in Warsaw.
Good luck to you, colleagues (and to me)! Jordan
