Subject: Discussion for Module 3: Community : Its Dimensions (Start: September 29, 2003 End: October 5, 2003).
I've suggested a number of topics for discussion. For example, do you think it is more difficult to "survive" adolescence in the early-21st Century than it was in the 1950's? Why or why not? Or, why are people spending so much more on McMansions than they "need"? Why might participation in some of the traditional associations (e.g., Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, bowling leagues) have been in steady decline? Are virtual communities "real" communities? Why or why not?
These are just possibilities, to get some discussions going.
