Subject: Discussion for Module 4: Individual and Community (Start: October 9, 2003 End: October 19, 2003).
I've thrown out a number of topics for possible discussion, from the module. Pick one or more, and begin or respond. Or, by way of beginning to get ready for the second assignment, do some thinking and sharing of your thoughts about the charge that Bellah et al. are hopelessly nostalgic, yearning for a past that can never again be, and was perhaps not that great when it happened. (As someone once said, "in fifty years, these will be the "good old days.") Do you think this is the case? Why or why not?
