The Online Study in Information Literacy

- For extra help learning the research process, review some of the modules on finding books, articles, research databases, etc.

Online Reference Room

- Search over 100 general and subject fulltext online reference dictionaries and encyclopedias published by Oxford University Press. (Login and Password required)

Research Databases and Database Subject Guides

- These are links to searchable online indexes to help you identify articles in popular magazines, scholarly journals, newspapers and other publications by topic. (Login and Password required.)

Research Guides

- Find a wide variety of electronic resources (NetLibrary eBooks, research databases, and recommended Internet resources) listed under listed by Area of Study. (Some required Login and Password)

For additional information on the Empire State College library refer to the "Orientation to Technology" CD which was sent to all Empire State College students during the late summer and early fall of 2003. This features multimedia presentations on the library, and basic searching instructions for FirstSearch and the Gale Group Expanded Academic databases.
