Subject: Information on Finding Films
This course includes the required or recommended viewing of films.
It is your responsibility to locate and borrow, rent, or buy the films you will view (Unless they are specifically provided as part of the course package through the Empire State College Bookstore. If this is the case, this will be indicated in the Readings and Materials section of your course)
There are several ways to a film:
1) Borrow from your local library. Many libraries have excellent film collections.
2) Rent the film from your local video store.
3) Rent the film from an online DVD rental store, such as NETFLIX or CAFEDVD.
http://www.Netflix.com:
$19.95 + tax per month. No shipping/handling fees. No late fees. You may have up to 3 DVDs at a time. Cancel anytime. No cancellation fees or commitments.
How it works: after signing up, you choose films. They go into your “queue”. Netflix sends you 3 DVDs. They come in a reversible envelope, ready to return. As soon as you have viewed a film, send it back. Netflix immediately sends you the next film in queue. They are generally reliable, fast, and efficient.
