Description: | This study focuses on the art and visual culture by/or pertaining to artists of the Afro-Cuban Diaspora. Focus is on Contemporary art by artists whose work is influenced by Afro-Cuban aesthetics, it will go into visual culture (art objects, photographs, images) as well as religious influences concerning Cuba historically. The artist’s works selected make direct reference to Cuba’s historical and cultural links to Africa and is representative of the aesthetic and cultural focus of Afro-Cuban Art. |
