Describe how will you interact with students at a distance: | The instructor will work with students at a distance via email and phone.
Students should contact the instructor at Teal.Abel@esc.edu, by phone at (315)779-4663, or by mail at SUNY Empire State College, 1220 Coffeen St. Watertown, NY 13619.
A scheduled telephone, email, or face-to-face student/tutor conference is strongly encouraged before the beginning of the study so that expectations are understood. |
Description: | This study is designed to help students identify and address their academic needs and goals based on their prior learning and experience. The student will engage in exercises in academic research and writing and will develop a Degree Program Planning Portfolio and rationale essay.
Students will be asked to gather documents that detail any credit bearing work. This may include transcripts, professional licenses, military documentation, standardized examinations such as CLEP, and any materials that may translate into potential sources of credit to be determined by the student and the mentor. Students will consider and explore identified ideas of interest and possible study concentrations.
This study is for matriculated students only. |
