Describe how will you interact with students at a distance:
Description:
The purpose of this study is to provide students an opportunity to study, explore, and learn fundamental concepts of microcomputer and advance his/her proficiency in using spreadsheets, database systems, and presentation software.
  1. The student will study the major components of a microcomputer system. This will include system unit, storage, input/output, communications, and networks.
  2. The student will study the advanced topics of electronic spreadsheets such as functions, charts and graphs, list processing, pivot tables, and creating and using macros. This will include how to link worksheets.
  3. The student will learn Microsoft Access database system to be able to develop small scale databases. This will include creating tables, entering and modifying data, performing single and multi-criteria queries, designing forms, and creating custom reports.
  4. The student will study the basics of Microsoft Power Point to be able to design and edit presentations in outline and slide views. This will include how to create speaker notes, insert clip arts, and fully animate a presentation.
  5. The student will learn how to integrate spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  6. The student will meet with the instructor to discuss progress on these activities every other week.
  7. The student is required to complete 20-25 assignments in Excel, Access, and Power Point.
