This section contains many samples. The samples are divided by type so that you can scan multiple degree plans, essays, etc. at once to get a sense of the variety of ways in which students create and explain their plans. The samples are numbered so you can quickly review all of the degree planning results by student.

The most important thing to remember as you read these resources is that these are samples only--they are not intended to be model degrees. Each student's degree is different from every other student's degree at Empire State College, because each student has individual goals, interests, and needs.

Investigate samples in order to get a sense of how students have addressed personal, academic, and professional expectations; how they have addressed degree design; and how assessment committees review degrees.
