Description: | The Program Development Associate provides high-level support for a wide range of program development initiatives. The college is engaged in revisiting degree program offerings, developing new degree programs and certificates as well as expanding intensive residency programming. The college is also developing processes for systematic improvement based on outcomes assessment results. The Program Development Associate advises and consults with senior OAA staff and a variety of constituencies including faculty, deans and associate deans regarding projects and responsibilities. Responsibilities also include communication and coordination of activities of various work groups. The individual maintains positive relations with external contacts which may include accrediting organizations. The Associate also supports and/or conducts research for a broad range of education endeavors that may include:
- Environmental scanning in support of program review and new program development.
- Conducting, writing and presenting data analyses in support of new program development and program review.
- Writing and/or editing new program proposals and revisions, program review protocols and reports and other writing and editing tasks.
- Developing research specifications for consultants.
- Provide high-level policies and procedures advice to the senior OAA staff, and in consultation with appropriate constituencies, recommend and draft college policies and procedures related to specific initiatives and in overall areas of responsibility.
- Serve as OAA representative or staff support on a variety of college committees or task forces
- Write grant proposals, reports, etc. as appropriate to projects.
- Maintain expertise and interaction with scholarly/professional communities in areas of responsibility.
- Serve as liaison with external constituencies, as appropriate, in areas of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications: | Master’s degree and at least three years relevant experience. Expertise in higher education; strong research, data analysis and writing skills, excellent oral and written communication skills; sound judgment; team leadership capabilities; excellent capacity to research, develop, organize and conceptualize complex and detailed information; ability to acquire in-depth understanding of regulations, policies and procedures; ability to work in a technology-rich, distributed environment, and the ability to work well with senior administrators and staff at all levels and to advise college administrators. |
Preferred Qualifications: | Earned doctorate in related field; advanced background in research methods; higher education experience in program planning, research and proposal development |
Special Information (e.g., travel required, evening hours, etc.): | The position is approved for two years whereupon the need for the position will be reconsidered. This position requires occasional overnight travel and weekend/evening hours. |
Rank/Salary: | $55-$65,000 |
