Empire State College was established in 1971 by Dr. Ernest Boyer as a distinctive statewide institution focused on innovative and nontraditional teaching and learning.

Description:
Empire State College serves adult students each term using a mixture of web-based technology and traditional methods to deliver courses to students in New York State and throughout the United States. Students are highly motivated adults who draw on life experience to enhance their studies, and need reinforcement to build proficiency in General Education subjects.

Skills Tutors assist students in developmental learning for writing/math skills, time management, and learning strategies for college study. We are looking to add to our list of instructional staff for new Learning Centers in our three units on Long Island.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree and previous teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to serving adult students in a non-traditional program.

Technical Requirements
Rank/Salary:
Salary ranges between approximately $1,200 to $2,800 per term depending on course size.
