Description:
The Retention Specialist reports to the Coordinator of Student Services and assists in the implementation of retention activities planned by the Coordinator of Student Services and the Director of Academic Support Services. The Retention Specialist uses college technology applications to support and monitor activities and outcomes, which include: acclimation of new students; outreach to current students; information and referral; identification and tracking of students to promote use of college resources; “brush-up” workshops; networking events and student workshops.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to problem-solve and collaborate. Strong computer skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some travel will be required in the fulfillment of center and college-wide commitments. Some evening and Saturday hours will be required.
