Description:
Provide overall leadership (planning, budgeting, operations and evaluation) for enrollment management, and for student services at all levels and in all modes by leading the work of marketing, recruitment, admissions, registration, partnerships, student information, services to students with disabilities, and be responsible for student awards, appeals, social networks, conferences, clubs, and judicial affairs.

- Develop effective working relationships and communications with the regional and program deans and with colleagues at the coordinating centre in all areas to ensure that college-wide policies and best practices related to recruitment, retention and student services are consistently understood and implemented.

- Implement state of the art web and other technologies and strategies for marketing, recruitment and student support.

- Monitor national and regional trends that could have an impact on the college’s enrollment, and develop recruitment strategies and new markets based on these trends.

- With the office of institutional research, ensure the collection, organization and analysis of accurate data regarding all phases of the enrollment and retention process, including on-going and comprehensive market research.

- With the office of communications and government relations, develop effective promotional materials for recruitment campaigns and support materials for the assigned student services.

- Develop strong partnerships will all community colleges in the state and in surrounding counties, and with community and corporate groups whose needs can effectively be met by the college’s approach to adult learning.

- Liaise with SUNY, other state and national agencies to ensure that the college is abreast of best practices in adult student affairs and to ensure that the profile of the college as a top adult-learner friendly organization is enhanced.

- Contribute to the college’s strategic planning and institutional research, especially in the assigned areas.

- Develops relationships with faculty mentors and others to fully understand and appreciate the mentored learning model at the college, and to gain trust and cooperation in evolving this approach to meet the changing needs of adult learners.

- Establishes (and where appropriate, effectively chairs) committees, teams and task forces to support cooperative and collaborative approaches to meeting the college’s goals.

- Represents the college and the president as required at local, state and national events, including professional associations and civic gatherings.
Minimum Qualifications:

- A Master’s degree (P.h.D preferred) from a recognized university.

- At least 10 years of successful leadership experience and progression in related roles in higher education, preferably in adult learning.

- Exceptional communication, organizational, analytical and personal skills.

- A deep understanding of non-traditional student populations.

- An understanding of the role and importance of public higher education on social, community and economic development.

- A familiarity with all aspects of enrollment management, including a track record in the development of short- and long-term enrollment strategies.

- The ability to fully utilize data to inform decisions and strategies essential to the work of this position, including knowledge of CRM software.

- The ability to organize and lead effective teams.

- A demonstrated commitment to diversity and collaborative leadership.
